For your convenience, we accept cash and credit cards. Payment is expected at the time services are performed. Please contact our office to discuss other financing options that may be availalbe for your procedure.   

 
Insurance

As a service to our patients, our practice accepts insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional) and PPO out-of-network.  We are not part of any managed care network.  Our accounting staff will prepare all the necessary forms related to your weight loss surgery benefits. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. Our staff will gladly submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company so that you will know what your benefits will be. We are not currently accepting Medicare for Bariatric Procedures. Unfortunately due to the insurance climate, we do not accept medicare without secondary insurance (this does not include medicaid)  or any medicaid insurance beginning January 1, 2010 for VNUS.  We will not be accepting medicare/medicaid for Bariatrics; we will continue to care for our current patient population.  Additionally, as of January 2010 please be aware of the Guidelines that Medicare/Medicaid are adhering to for Medical Managed Weight Loss if you choose to pursue weight loss surgery:

 

The fees charged for services rendered to those who are insured are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies take care of claims promptly while others delay payment for several months.

Financing

Please speak with our accounting staff to develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Only after your course of treatment has been planned should you apply for financing.  Doing so sooner could mean that the fee plan you negotiate will not cover your entire treatment. Once your treatment plan has been finalized, you may apply for financing through CareCredit.
